Three Loyals Temple, and the Lien Clan's Legacy of Prosperity

全台唯一的「三忠廟」，主祀南宋三忠臣文天祥、陸秀夫、張世傑，與一般神明廟宇大不相同！起初是雙溪開基祖連元喬家族茅草屋供奉，後來因連家子孫考中舉人，倡議擴建，加上宗親連泰和商號出資，鄉親踴躍響應，於1868年落成，帶動雙溪街區集市，三忠廟不只是宗教地標，更是雙溪最早的市街及信仰中心，文化與生活在此匯聚延續。如今，三忠信仰已推廣至廈門、馬來西亞等地，廟宇成為雙溪的信仰核心。

Sanzhong Temple, Taiwan's only temple dedicated to the three loyal ministers of the Southern Song dynasty—Tian-Siang Wen, Siou-Fu Lu, and Shih-Jie Chang—is the cultural and spiritual heart of Shuangxi. It started as a small thatched shrine built by the Lien family, the founders of Shuangxi. After a Lien family member passed the imperial exam, the shrine was expanded with support from the Lien family’s business group and local residents, and completed in 1868. The temple helped grow Shuangxi’s street market, making it more than a religious site—it became the center of the town’s early community life. Over time, the belief spread beyond Taiwan, reaching places like Xiamen and Malaysia. Today, Sanzhong Temple remains the spiritual center of Shuangxi.
