何政炭礦礦場位於牡丹車站至舊三貂嶺隧道的中點附近北方的山谷內，礦場專用輕便軌道長約900公尺，沿著山壁水平開鑿，終點在福壽橋北方現為鐵皮搭建停車場的駁崁上方，輕便軌道以水平高架方式延伸至儲煤櫃的上方，現仍保留著數根磚造橋橔柱子，運煤臺車經過牌仔間秤重登記後，再進翻車臺，傾倒煤炭至儲煤櫃，貨運列車停靠在鐵皮停車場位置的礦場專用鐵道支線上等待裝載煤炭。牌仔間現已改建為平房，何政先生的後代在此定居。

Ho-Cheng Coal Mine was located in a valley north of the midpoint between Mudan Station and the old Sandiaoling Tunnel. The mine had a 900-meter light rail track carved along the mountain wall. The endpoint was north of Fushou Bridge, above what is now a tin-roofed parking lot. The rail track extended horizontally and elevated over the coal storage bins. Several brick bridge piers are still standing. Coal carts would be weighed and registered at the scale house, and then moved to the tipper, so that the coal could be dumped into the storage bins. Freight trains waited on a special rail line in the parking lot to load the coal. The scale house has now been rebuilt as a bungalow. Mr. Ho-Cheng's descendants still live in here.
